Text Invisible is a small set of free tools for dealing with characters you cannot see. There is no account to make, nothing to install, and nothing to pay for.

Why the detector comes first

Nearly every site on this subject hands you an invisible character to copy and stops there. Very few will tell you whether a piece of text somebody sent you has something buried in it, and almost none will tell you what it says.

That gap is the reason this site exists. Hidden characters are now used to slip instructions past people and into the software reading on their behalf — a line in a CV that no human sees, a paragraph in a brief aimed at whatever summarises it. The tools that make this text are everywhere. The tools that find it are not.

So the detector is the front door here, and the generator sits alongside it rather than in front of it.

Everything runs on your device

This is the part worth understanding, because it is unusual and it is not a policy that could quietly change.

The tools are ordinary JavaScript running inside your browser. When you paste text into one, that text is never sent anywhere — there is no upload step, no server doing the work, and nothing to store. Load a page, disconnect from the internet, and every tool still works exactly the same.

That design has a cost: we cannot offer anything that genuinely needs a server, and reading uploaded files is harder than it looks. We think it is worth it. It is the only reason it makes sense to paste a real CV, a client document or a contract into a website you found ten seconds ago.

How the tools are built

The character data behind all three tools comes from one source, so the detector, the remover and the generator can never disagree about what a character is or what it is called. Where a claim can be measured rather than asserted, it is measured: the generator does not tell you a character survives being saved, it runs the checks in front of you and reports what happened.
